Sophie Krotinger

Sophie (she/her) is a trained birth doula through Birth & Baby University who was born and raised in Warren, Vermont. She is passionate about creating birth experiences in which each person’s voice is valued and respected. For Sophie, trust begins with genuine listening, empathy, compassion, and curiosity about the experiences and perspectives each family brings to their birth journey.

Sophie also works as a medical assistant in internal medicine and plans to apply to medical school. She hopes to contribute to expanding rural healthcare access in Vermont for marginalized communities.

Sophie is strongly committed to giving back to her community. Her doula journey began through volunteering at UVMMC, and she currently also volunteers in the pediatrics department, creating art with children and their families. She brings a positive, caring presence to healthcare spaces and enjoys helping others feel comfortable and supported.

In her free time, Sophie enjoys being outdoors, going for runs, and watercolor painting. To unwind, she loves taking long walks and spending quality time with her family, especially her sister, with whom she is very close.
