Sarah Bissonette
Sarah (she/her) is a Certified Postpartum Doula and is currently finalizing her Labor/Birth Doula Certification through DONA International. She is also completing specialized training in the use of TENS units for labor support.
Sarah is a proud born-and-raised Vermonter. Having watched the seasons change here for decades, she has always felt called to support others and has cared for family, friends, and her community from an early age.
Before becoming a full-time doula, Sarah built a career in social work and developed an educational background in both criminal justice and social work. Over the years, she has completed extensive trauma-informed training and supported individuals and families through many of life’s most challenging moments. These experiences have shaped the compassionate, steady, and nonjudgmental approach she brings to every family she serves.
Sarah values building meaningful relationships and creating a space where families can feel heard, respected, and confident in their own choices. She believes every family deserves individualized care and considers it an honor to walk alongside parents as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Outside of supporting families, Sarah can often be found by the water, baking sweet treats, or woodworking. A mother and lifelong caregiver, one of her greatest joys came when she was promoted to “Gigi.” Becoming a grandmother has given her a new perspective on life and remains, in her words, the very best promotion she has ever received.
