Juju Montera

Juju (they/them) is a trained birth doula through Cornerstone Birthwork Training and a queer, justice-oriented doula who brings a trauma-informed lens to their work with families. With a background in early childhood education and social work, Juju has spent years supporting young children and families in a variety of settings. They hold an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master of Education with a focus in gender and sex education.

Juju has been deeply interested in pregnancy, birth, and babies from a young age, and becoming a doula has allowed them to bring together that lifelong curiosity with their experience supporting people through meaningful transitions. They are passionate about helping families feel heard, seen, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond, and they value building genuine, nonjudgmental relationships rooted in trust and respect.

Juju is especially interested in the ways social determinants of health shape pregnancy, birth, and family life. They also genuinely love talking about the human body, swaddling babies, and whatever podcast they happen to be listening to.

Outside of doula work, Juju loves spending time with the people they care about, taking walks, sewing, and playing with children.
