Charlotte Thornley
Charlotte (she/her) is a care worker based in Central Vermont. She originally trained as an actor and carried from that experience an enduring love of play and connection. She is trained as a birth doula through Birth & Baby University, and her interest in caregiving has been nourished over the years through work with children of all ages—as postpartum support, a nanny, an after-school teacher, and a Shakespeare camp counselor.
For the last five years, Charlotte has worked as an early childhood educator in the woods and streams of Montpelier and is looking forward to supporting families in a new way as a birth doula. The many beloved children in her life have given her deep wells of patience, an appreciation for chaos, a strong sense of humor, sleeves full of tricks, and plenty of humility—all of which translate remarkably well to birth work. Charlotte also brings a background in advocacy to her support.
Beyond birth work, Charlotte is passionate about growing, cooking, and eating food—especially with friends—spending time in nature, and being in community with children.
