Newborn Care Class
This class is intentionally designed for a small group. It allows each attendee to benefit from the questions and previous experiences of other attendees. Additionally, it offers the fantastic opportunity to connect with other local families who will have similarly aged children. This class consists of two 2 hour sessions and is facilitated at the Vermont Doula Company office suites. Attendees will receive Vermont Doula Company’s vetted list of resources that are specific to the needs of new parents and their infants.
Topics for this comprehensive, interactive class include:
Introduction to various parenting philosophies
Baby health and wellness
Newborn safety recommendations
Infant care including hygiene and recognition of behaviors and cues
Crying, comforting, and swaddling your baby
Infant feeding, and the nuances to notice
Additionally, we will explore how the birth experience shapes the postpartum period and how you can plan for success before, during, and shortly after it.

Postpartum Planning Classes
This 2 hour small group (or private) session will enable you to mindfully create a plan for a healthful and positive postpartum experience. With a focus on emotional and physical transitional expectations, our certified educator will assist you in creating realistic goals in preparation for recovering from birth and welcoming your baby. Attendees will receive Vermont Doula Company’s vetted list of resources that are specific to the needs of postpartum individuals.

What To Do When You’re Having Two?!
Welcoming a new baby into the world is an exciting time, but if you’re doubling down by having multiples, you can expect the excitement to escalate! You know you need all the info and support you can get and Vermont Doula Company has you covered! This four hour class is specific to families welcoming multiples and will equip you with the confidence necessary to bring multiple babies home.
